Granite and Marble Adhesive

DEFINITION

A cement-based, polymer-modified, high-performance elastic tile, ceramic, granite, and natural stone adhesive with enhanced properties, increased slip resistance, and extended working time.

APPLICATIONS

For laying medium and large-sized ceramic and similar covering materials indoors on walls and floors, outdoors on floors, for ceramic applications on medium-traffic floors, for ceramic applications in gardens and swimming pools, and can be applied to plaster blocks, plasterboard, and plastered surfaces (surfaces applied with Alkim Flex Tile Primer).

Used for bonding ceramic, marble, granite, porcelain, and natural stone. Can be used in wet areas.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface to be applied must be free of substances that reduce adhesion, such as dust, lime, mold oil, and paint residue. If present, any imperfections on the surface should be repaired with Allkim Flex Repair Mortar 48 hours in advance.

APPLICATION

Pour 6.5-7 liters of water into a clean container of sufficient size for 1 bag. Slowly add Allkim Granite and Marble Adhesive to the water and mix with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Allow the mixed material to rest for 5 minutes, then mix again for 1-2 minutes to make it ready for use.

The prepared mortar is applied with a notched steel trowel. Depending on ambient temperatures, grouting can be performed after an average of 24 hours.

SHELF LIFE

1 year from the date of manufacture in dry, moisture-free conditions.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

  • Application environment temperature: +5 ⁰C to +35 ⁰C
  • The floor should be open to traffic after at least 24 hours.
  • Do not apply without precautions in heavy rain or under direct sunlight.
  • No foreign substances should be added to Allkim Flex Granite and Marble adhesive mortar.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with eyes and skin, and do not inhale dust.
  • Personal protective equipment must be used (gloves, dust mask, etc.).

The information provided is valid for application areas with a temperature of 23 ± 2°C and humidity of 50 ± 5%.
