Commercial Definition: Joint Filler Plaster Properties: Filler plaster used with joint tape at plasterboard joints. Application: Filler and surface leveling plaster applied over glass fiber or paper joint tape in plasterboard joints.

  • The surface to be applied must be free of dust, grease, and paint.
  • Plasterboard Joint Filler Plaster is sprinkled into cold, clean water in a clean container, covering the water surface.
  • After waiting a few minutes, mix with a mixer or trowel until the mortar becomes homogeneous and lump-free.
  • Apply with a steel trowel in a double-sided scraping motion from bottom to top and from right to left. At this stage, care should be taken to ensure that the steel trowel does not leave marks.
  • Once the plaster has hardened, the surface is ready for painting. Any marks are cleaned off as the mortar begins to harden.
