Thermal Insulation Board Adhesive
DEFINITION
Cement-based, polymer-reinforced, high-performance thermal insulation board adhesive
AREAS OF USE- Polystyrene boards (XPS; Extruded Polystyrene or EPS; Expanded Polystyrene)
- Gas concrete surfaces
- Bare concrete surfaces
- Brick surfaces
- Can be used on cement-based plaster
- Rock wool
- Easily adapts to the surface it is applied to, has high adhesion.
- Easy to work with and long-lasting.
- Suitable for vertical and horizontal applications.
- Resistant to temperature variations.
- Form: Cement-based, polymer-modified powder
- Color: Gray
- Packaging: 25 kg kraft bag
- Shelf Life: 12 months in a dry environment
- Unit Weight: 1300 ± 100 g/lt
- Pot Life of Mortar: 2.5 - 3 hours
- Working Time: 30 min
The surface to be applied must be free of substances that reduce adhesion, such as dust, lime, mold oil, and paint residue. If present, any surface defects should be repaired with Allkim Flex Repair Mortar 48 hours in advance. In areas with high temperatures, the surface should be moistened before application.
APPLICATIONPour 6-7 liters of water into a clean container large enough to hold one bag. Slowly add Allkim Flex Thermal Insulation Board Adhesive to the water and mix with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. After the mixed material has rested for 5 minutes, it is stirred again for 1-2 minutes to make it ready for use. The prepared mortar should be applied with a trowel or spatula to the back surface of the insulation board in a frame shape on all four sides and three points in the middle. For glued boards, doweling can be done after 24 hours. Depending on weather conditions, plastering can continue after 2 days.
APPLICATION TOOLSHand mixer, steel trowel, spatula
SHELF LIFE1 year from the date of manufacture in dry, moisture-free conditions.
CONSUMPTIONConsumption is 4 - 5 kg/m², depending on the surface to be applied and the thickness.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS- The application environment temperature should be between +5 °C and +35 °C.
- Avoid application in very humid and very hot weather.
- Do not apply on surfaces where there is a risk of frost.
- Prevent continuous contact of the material with the eyes and skin, and do not inhale the dust.
- All tools used should be cleaned with water before they dry.
- The information provided is valid for application areas with a temperature of 23 ± 2 °C and humidity of 50 ± 5%.
