Joint Filler
DEFINITION
Cement-based, fiber and polymer reinforced, high-performance thermal insulation board plaster.
AREAS OF USE- As plaster on polystyrene boards (XPS; Extruded Polystyrene or EPS; Expanded Polystyrene),
- For repair purposes; at the joints of main structural elements.
- Stone wool
- For corner and parapet cracks.
- For plastering purposes (up to 5 mm).
- On aerated concrete surfaces.
- As a thin plaster over rough plaster.
- Provides high adhesion to thermal insulation boards.
- Allows the system to breathe due to its vapor permeability.
- Provides easy and long-term working conditions.
- Provides a smooth and aesthetic appearance on interior and exterior surfaces.
- Absorbs small stresses.
- Minimizes crack formation with fiber and polymer reinforcement.
- Form: Cement-based, fiber and polymer-reinforced powder
- Color: Gray
- Packaging: 25 kg kraft bag
- Shelf Life: 12 months in a dry environment without moisture
- Unit Weight: 1300 ±100 g/lt
- Usable Time of the Mortar: 2 - 2.5 hours
- Working Time: 25 min
- Application Thickness: 3 - 5 mm
The panel to be applied must be properly adhered to the substrate.
Gaps between panels must be filled appropriately, and the surface must be smooth.
APPLICATIONPour 6-7 liters of water into a clean container large enough to hold one bag. Slowly add Allkim Flex Thermal Insulation Panel Mortar to the water and mix with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. After the mixed mortar has rested for 5 minutes, it is mixed again for 1-2 minutes and made ready for use. The prepared mortar is applied to the thermal insulation boards with a thickness of 2 mm, and plaster mesh is laid to ensure adhesion to the surface. To prevent cracking, the reinforcement mesh should be applied overlapping by 10 cm at the joints. Then, a second coat of fine plaster is applied with a thickness of 2 mm. The material, which has started to harden, is smoothed and troweled.
APPLICATION TOOLSHand mixer, steel trowel, spatula, rubber trowel
SHELF LIFE1 year from the date of manufacture in dry and moisture-free conditions.
CONSUMPTIONDepending on the surface to be applied and the thickness, 4-5 kg/m² for a thickness of 3-4 mm.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS- The application temperature should be between +5 ⁰C and +35 ⁰C.
- Avoid application in very humid and very hot weather.
- Do not apply on surfaces at risk of freezing.
- After plaster application, the surface should be moistened at regular intervals.
- Coating, painting, and similar applications should begin 7 days after plaster application.
- Avoid constant contact of the material with eyes and skin; do not inhale dust from the material.
- All tools used should be cleaned with water before they dry.
- The information provided is valid for application areas with a temperature of 23 ± 2 ⁰C and humidity of 50 ± 5%.
Cement-based, high-performance, water-repellent, single-component joint filler containing polymer additives.
APPLICATION AREAUsed for filling 0-6 mm joints in indoor and outdoor areas, on walls and floors, and on floors with heavy foot and load traffic.
Please consult us for all other applications.
APPLICATION LIMITNot suitable for use in areas exposed to high pressure (> 100 bar) and chemicals, or in areas requiring hygiene.
Not suitable for swimming pools.
Not suitable for floors prone to deformation, such as underfloor heating systems.
REFERENCE STANDARDSTS EN 13888 CG1
QUALITY CERTIFICATESCE
These values were obtained from tests conducted under laboratory conditions at 23±2 °C and 50% relative humidity, and reflect performance after 28 days. Values may vary due to differences in the construction site environment.
WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONSNo foreign materials should be added under any circumstances. After application, all tools used should be washed with water before they dry. Mortar that has passed its use-by date should not be reused by adding water. For high performance, the application area should be moistened with water the next day. To avoid yellowing in white and light-colored grout, ceramic tiles should not be soaked in water.
SURFACE PREPARATIONThe surface must be clean, smooth, and solid.
The ambient temperature should be between +5 °C and +30 °C.
Grout joints must be cleaned and walls moistened before application.
APPLICATION CONDITIONSThe ambient temperature should be between +5 °C and +35 °C.
Application should not be carried out in very humid, very hot, or excessively windy weather.
It should not be applied on frozen, thawing, or surfaces at risk of freezing within 24 hours.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONSSlowly pour 20 kg of Allkim Flex Joint Filler into 7.5-8 liters of water and mix with a low-speed mixer until homogeneous.
Allow the prepared mortar to rest for 5-10 minutes, then mix again before application.
The mortar should be filled into the joints with a rubber trowel and any excess should be scraped off.
After 15-30 minutes, the surface should be cleaned with a damp sponge.
